Aromatherapy Uses for Pine Essential Oil
It can often be considered a little too overpowering to use in a purely aromatherapy sense, but can can provide a nice uplift when used in ‘cleaning’ situations:
- a drop or two on your hoover bag will really give a nice freshness to you rooms and carpets.
- a drop on your wiping cloth for the bathroom will similarly give a quick pick up if your expecting guests and have nt had time for the full clean!
Medicinal Uses for Pine Essential Oil
Pines strongest point is its benefit in tackling colds and congestion BUT use sparingly because some people can be very sensitive to the oil!
- one drop in a bowl of boiling water and inhaled gently can help to loosen blocked noses and congested chests
- a drop on a tissue can offer a quick point of relief for a cold sufferer
- pine oil is relatively inexpensive disinfectant so a drop or two on a cloth and wiped over hotel bathrooms can offer an extra bit of protection against germs and bacteria
According to a report published by the Arizona University it is also capable of killing many of the agents responsible for gastroenteritis, and several types of dysentry – so a gain a goo doil to consider taking with you when you go travelling to out of the way places.!
